All concert tickets are $10 for adults. Students are admitted free.
100% of the proceeds from ticket sales are given to that concert’s beneficiary.
What kind of music does the Band
perform?

Within the traditional concert band format, the organization has developed a diverse repertoire. From Bach preludes and fugues to big band music, the Band is prepared to perform in nearly any location. Major band works by Grainger, Holst, Vaughan-Williams, Reed, McBeth and Mendelssohn are in the Band's library as well as marches by Sousa, King, Fillmore and Chambers. Show tunes and orchestral transcriptions are also a part of the Band's standard offering. Frequent appearances by guest soloists, both from within and outside the Band, add to the Variety in our programs. |

The All-America Concert Band maintains an "open door" policy and is always looking for talented adult musicians who have a desire to make music and are willing to make the time commitment to the band. If you are interested in joining the band please contact our director.

We meet each Wednesday evening during the school year from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the South Sioux City High School Band room at 3625 G Street in South Sioux City. The Band does not meet during the summer months. All band members receive a complete rehearsal and performance schedule at the start of the new concert season to facilitate planning for the upcoming year.

Beneficiaries are chosen in the spring and summer before
each season begins through an application
process. We look for charities that need our help and are able to help us
promote our concerts.

Charles Dibley will be the third director of the All-American Concert Band in its 20 year history, following Mike Hogan and Cliff Towner. Mr. Dibley is tubist with the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra and the Sioux City Municipal Band. Mr. Dibley was instrumental director at Rock Valley Community Schools for 30 years and is currently adjunct instructor at Morningside College and the University of South Dakota. He resides in Vermillion, South Dakota, with his wife, Lorna. They have three children: Jeremiah (spouse Kamden) of Vermillion, Jacob of Wagner, South Dakota, and Jennifer of Vermillion. |
