The director and members of the All-America Concert Band believe very deeply in the importance of music in our lives. With all of the negative things occurring in today's society, the Band represents so much good. It offers the members ample opportunities to utilize musical abilities. Members experience the rewards of working together to perfect numbers for public performance thus leading to a strong sense of pride in themselves and in the organization. It reinforces to our youth that something which is done "for free" can, indeed, be of great value. The Band is committed to the community and is willing to share its collective talents with others whenever possible.
Music is the key to our emotions. Sharing those feelings with others is a special privilege the members of the band really savor. Whether it's patriotism at its highest or sadness at its lowest, the audience is always invited to participate in the experience. One very frequent comment made about the Band is "they all look like they are enjoying it so much." It means a great deal to all of us to be able to perform for others and we are, truly, delighted to be able to do so.
The Band is always looking for ways to make life in our community better. We relish the chance to promote the importance of music in our lives. We've helped raise money for hospitals, children's playgrounds, museums, music parents' organizations and school music programs to name but a few. Each year we receive applications from a wide variety of non-profit entities who wish to be designated as concert beneficiaries.
